Admit it: joyful and festive as it may be, putting up a Christmas tree can be ... a hassle. Even Carrie Underwood knows that to be true, which is why she and husband Mike Fisher opt for a fake tree over a real one.

Don't think that the parents-to-be will be lazy with their decorating -- it's just that instead of pine needles all over their floors, the couple will focus on hanging ornaments on their tree when it comes straight out of the box.

"I don’t think there’s any kind of tree that’s not a pain in the rear to get in and get out and decorate and whatever, but they’re pretty," a very pregnant Underwood confesses to ABC News Radio. But even there won't be a real tree in her home in 2014, it will still be festive.

"[I have] big candle pieces and things like that,” the singer shares, giving us a mental peek at her home decor. “Little ceramic Santa things. Pillows. I have lots of pillows that say stuff on ‘em. Reindeer-type things. Big, wooden reindeer."

Baby boy Fisher will make himself known in the new year, but Underwood and Fisher haven't forgotten about their fur babies, Ace and Penny.

"They need stockings, too,” the star explains. “It’s their Christmas, too."

It would seem Underwood has been in the holiday spirit for awhile -- at the recent American Country Countdown Awards, she dressed her burgeoning baby bump in winter white with a dash of gold, proving that despite being pregnant, she's still got the energy to be stylish!
