Along with her incredible voice and string of No. 1 hits, Carrie Underwood has also made a name for herself as a fitness queen. Fans always want to know how they can stay in shape like the star and get her killer legs, and the singer is offering some insight into how she stays so fit even with a hectic schedule.

Before her adorable 2-year-old son Isaiah was born, the superstar would work out almost every day. But now with the youngster running around, it's a workout in itself, so Underwood doesn't always put pressure on herself to engage in a traditional workout every day. “It just happens if and when it happens. I’ve gotten a lot better at doing what I can when I can, but also cutting myself a little slack. You have to!” Underwood admits to People

The powerhouse singer says that she fits various exercises into her day-to-day activities when it's a natural, but still turns to running and group fitness classes as a go-to regimen. “I love just putting headphones in and going for a run. I feel so good when I get home, especially when it’s hot. I’m one of those weirdos that likes to run when it’s super hot outside!" she continues. "Or classes. I find myself competing with other people in the room. I’m like, ‘Oh she’s good, I want to be like her!’ I try to ‘beat’ someone in the class. They have no idea we’re competing!”

Underwood attributes having a supportive husband in Mike Fisher and team of people around her who help her find time to focus on herself and well-being, which allows her to be a better mom and version of herself. The singer's line of exercise wear, Calia by Carrie Underwood, is available at Dick's Sporting Goods.
