Carrie Underwood is one of the most famous singers on the planet, but believe it or not, there are still a few things most people probably don’t know about her. The star recently sat down with the Grand Ole Opry to share five random facts about herself we’d venture to guess even the biggest Underwood fan wouldn’t know.

The Opry’s Take 5 feature asks five unrelated questions to the artist, for some of which Underwood had some pretty unpredictable answers. She says she could live for a few days off of the things she has in her purse, for example, and you’ll never expect what her most-played songs on her phone are.

“Probably something by Wham! or New Kids on the Block,” she admits with a smile.

The artist also talked about one song in particular she wishes she had written herself, and it’s a doozy.

“I grew up listening to a lot of Simon and Garfunkel, and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water' is not only lyrically very poignant but melodically — I’m a melody girl — and it’s just beautiful,” she says.

Underwood recently hosted the CMA Awards alongside Brad Paisley for the eighth consecutive year, where she also performed her single “Smoke Break.” She released her latest record Storyteller in late October and is gearing up to tour the album in 2016.
