Carrie Underwood and her son Isaiah stepped on the ice to help Mike Fisher celebrate his 1,000th game in the NHL on Monday night (March 21). The Nashville Predators Forward was also honored in a lengthy tribute video that featured Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and more.

Bono, Fisher’s father and numerous NHL players that know Fisher well recorded personal statements for him, congratulating him on 1,000 games. It’s a rare achievement that few in NHL history have accomplished. On the ice, Fisher was presented with a custom engraved silver stick, photo collage and crystal recognizing the accomplishment as Underwood and Isaiah watched and clapped, smiling. The ceremony took place before Monday’s game. He played his actual 1,000 game earlier this month.

“I’m so proud of you, for so many reasons,” Underwood says beginning a tribute video found on the Predators website. “But specifically tonight I’m proud of you because I know how hard you work at everything you do and how much dedication you have towards hockey and towards this team.”

Luke Bryan, Vince Gill and Rascal Flatts are other country artists who appear in the eight-minute-long video. “Nashville is so lucky to have you,” Paisley says. “There’s definitely a special place in heaven for you for also putting up with that wife of yours.”

He’s not the only one to bust the 35-year-old’s chops. Many of his current and former teammates crack a few loving jokes. At the very end, Rascal Flatts start by congratulating Fisher on his 10th game before correcting themselves. And Gary LeVox is convinced he’s a professional curler.

Fisher began his NHL career with the Ottawa Senators in 1999 and was traded to the Nashville Predators during the 2010-11 season. His hard work overcoming injuries and his community work were recognized by many who filmed a minute or two for this video. Underwood and Fisher married in 2010.
