Two highlight performers from the 2016 ACM Awards will square off in this Showdown song battle. Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean debuted his new song on Sunday night (April 3), as did Carrie Underwood. Their individual performances could go a long way to deciding who moves on to the next round of the Showdown.

"Lights Come On" is Aldean's first single from a new album, expected later this year. It's a straight-forward country rocker that's sure to sound great during his live show this summer. Underwood's "Church Bells" already sounds great. She's raised the body count once again, with this song about getting revenge on an abusive husband.

Listen to clips of both Underwood and Aldean’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Wednesday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Wednesday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
