Though Carrie Underwood is a busy woman, she’s still making Father’s Day a priority for her husband, even if it means getting up at 3AM to make his favorite breakfast. The artist talked to E! at the CMT Music Awards and shared that if there’s a reason to celebrate, she sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night to put together crock pot french toast for Mike Fisher.

“It’s kind of annoying, but I’ll do it on special occasions for him,” she says. “So I’ll probably make him breakfast in bed."

She admits that she hasn’t gotten him any gifts yet, though.

“Isaiah hasn’t gotten him any gifts either,” she protests. “That kid’s a slacker!"

The 15-month-old will have to pick up the pace if he wants to get his NHL-playing dad something good.

Underwood recently performed her latest single “Church Bells" at the CMT Awards June 8, garnering a standing ovation. She was nominated for Video of the Year, CMT Performance of the Year and Female Video of the Year at the show, and took home the trophies for the latter two.

The singer just wrapped the first leg of her sold out Storyteller Tour at the end of May, calling the run the “most fun we’ve had on tour.” The Swon Brothers have been opening for Underwood, and recently expressed their gratitude for her bringing them along by giving her flowers at the last show, a photo of which they shared on Instagram with an accompanying note of sincere thanks. Underwood performed for more than 600,000 fans over the course of the run, the biggest tour of her career thus far. She heads back out on the road for a second leg starting Sept. 4, continuing through Nov. 28.
