Carrie Underwood has been the queen of Sunday nights since 2013, when she began singing the Sunday Night Football theme song, but this year Sunday night has a new sound.

"New song. New season. Sunday Night Football returns September 11th. #SNFonNBC," Sunday Night Football tweeted out to celebrate the change.

In previous seasons, Underwood has performed a rendition of Faith Hill’s “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.” This year, the CMA Awards co-host is putting her own spin on football by recording a new theme song, set to the tune of her duet with Miranda Lambert, "Somethin' Bad."

NBC has been teasing viewers with hints of the clip all through the Olympics. Now the network has released a new, much longer video, and we're counting down the days until we get to hear it in full.

"Oh Sunday night / Stand up and cheer / Stomp your feet / Start clapping / NBC Sunday night about to happen," Underwood sings in the new promo.

Her voice sounds full and perfect singing the song in the video above, not to mention she looks great doing it.

Sunday Night Football kicks off Sunday, Sept. 11 at 8:30PM EST, when the New England Patriots take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Underwood has a busy few months ahead of her. The superstar is preparing to host the 50th annual CMA Awards alongside longtime cohost Brad Paisley, which will air on ABC on Nov. 2.  After that esteemed gig, she has plans to fly down under to join Keith Urban in Australia and New Zealand as part of his Ripcord World Tour.
