Carrie Underwood will give back to military families throughout her upcoming Storyteller Tour, which kicks off Jan. 30 in Jacksonville, Fl.

At a press conference on Thursday (Jan. 28) the “Heartbeat” singer revealed her partnership with Operation Homefront and Carnival Cruise Lines, which will help her meet with military families throughout 10 stops on her tour.

“I’m honored to be able to join Carnival Cruise Line and Operation Homefront to lift up these soldiers and their families,” Underwood said at the press conference, according to Sounds Like Nashville. “I am really looking forward to meeting them on my tour and for the opportunity to personally thank them for all they do for our freedom.”

In addition to the Storyteller Tour meet and greet, Carnival Cruise Line will recognize the military and their families through an appreciation program onboard their ships, which includes a video message from Underwood herself.

“Military families represent a cornerstone of our country and we are honored by the opportunity to partner with Carrie and Operation Homefront to bring much needed awareness and aid to our troops and their loved ones,” explains Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line. “The partnership will bring to life many of the heartwarming stories our troops have to share while in turn bringing them some fun along the way.”

In support of Carnival’s ‘Honor. Family. Fun.’ program, Underwood will host a concert to honor military families on Nov. 4 in the Port of New York City aboard the new cruise ship Carnival Vista. She will also perform aboard select Carnival ships in 2017. For more information and to donate to the program, visit

Underwood will sing a duet with Sam Hunt at the upcoming 2016 Grammy Awards, airing on CBS, on Feb. 15.
