The past few days have been a whirlwind for Jake Owen. You might have heard the unfortunate buzz that the hitmaker was temporarily handcuffed in Florida over the weekend -- but that's old news. The latest talk surrounding the 'Don't Think I Can't Love You' singer is his early morning wedding to fiancee Lacey Buchanan.
Jake Owen married his fiancee, Lacey Buchanan, on Monday morning (May 7) in a sunrise ceremony in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla. He announced the nuptials via Twitter, writing "A best friend for life. I now have a wifey … my face hurts from smiling. What a wonderful way to start the rest of my life."
Love is in the air for Becky Robertson of Carter's Chord. And no, we're not talking about the 'Love a Little Bigger' video that she and her sisters released a few weeks ago. We're referring to her wedding to Jeremiah Scott, which took place last weekend in Franklin, Tenn.
As a touring country artist, Jake Owen has long known that he has a steady base of fans interested in his music. But the 'Alone With You' singer didn't fully comprehend just how interested those fans would be in every detail of his private life, including his proposal, engagement and the engagement ring he gave to fiancee Lacey Buchanan.
When we watched Jake Owen propose to now fiancee Lacey Buchanan spontaneously at a show in Vero Beach, Fla., the one little missing detail was the ring. Since Owen made a bit of a spur-of-the-moment decision to seal the deal with Buchanan in front of his hometown audience on April 7, he hadn't quite had the time to go out and pick out the perfect rock. Now that he and his bride to be have had a few days to let the excitement settle and make some decisions, Owen is opening up and dishing on the details of the ring.
Earlier this year, Eli Young Band guitarist James Young was the final member of the group to walk down the aisle and say "I do." Young wed his sweetie in an intimate outdoor ceremony on Feb. 4, with his fellow bandmates close by his side.
For Stealing Angels member Tayla Lynn, Good Friday was a good day, indeed. The songstress, who is the heir of country queen Loretta Lynn, wed her fiance, Jon Finger, on Friday (April 6) in Anacapri, Italy.
To say that Jake Owen had quite the week last week would be a vast understatement. The country singer with Floridian roots saw his single 'Alone With You' climb to the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Country Songs chart, where it's still sitting pretty above the rest. Whether it was because Owen was already on top of the world or because he felt especially emotional playing for his hometown Vero Beach, Fla. crowd, Owen went ahead and popped the question to girlfriend Lacey Buchanan on Saturday night (April 7).
