Charlie Daniels’ career has been more than 50 years in the making, and he’s still not settling down any time soon. The artist’s band is set to release a new live CD/DVD combo in October titled Live at Billy Bob’s Texas, recorded at the largest honky tonk in the Lone Star state in February.

The album will feature 14 live tracks and include behind-the-scenes interview footage with the legend himself. The project features full band performances of classics like “Southern Boy,” “Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and of course, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” as the epic closer.

"When you record live, you need to ignore the recording equipment and play for the people and that big old rowdy crowd. At Billy Bob's Texas, that was easy to do,” Daniels says.

Having released several live albums over the course of his career, including 2007’s Live From Iraq for the troops, Daniels' in-the-moment recordings capture the energy and passion in his performances, not to mention the rowdy, amped-up crowd.

The artist is staying busy, having played more than 100 shows last year, and launched his 2015 tour in February. Check out the full track listing of the CD/DVD below, out Oct. 16.
