Charlie Daniels is keeping busy with new music, a tour and his recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The singer recently revealed his new album, Night Hawk, will be released on Aug. 26.

On the 10-song release, Daniels will put his own spin on well known and more obscure cowboy songs. The album will be available for pre-sale on Aug. 15, with the first 100 copies sold to be autographed and hand numbered by Daniels himself.

"Most of our concepts about cowboys, and all things Western, are mostly derived from movies and TV," Daniels says in a press release. "Well, the truth of the matter is, the real cowboys are not glow in the dark characters who go around fighting rustlers and cleaning out saloons with their fists. The actual working cowboy is a hard working, different breed who spend endless hours in the saddle and as Louis L’Amour said, they ‘ride for the brand.’ Night Hawk is a tribute to the working cowboy and his way of life."

In addition to the album's release, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will curate an exhibit for Daniels called Million Mile Reflections, which will open to the public on Sept. 23.
