Chase Bryant is enjoying opening Tim McGraw’s Shotgun Rider tour. He’s not enjoying working out with him as much. The “Little Bit of You” singer says he accepts the challenge to do cross-fit daily, even though some of the exercises are a little crazy.

Among the exercises McGraw does: hammer swings, monster tire flipping and sled pulls using a 100-pound sled. He also is known to strap 40-pound bags of sand to his back and run amphitheater steps, up and down, 20 times.

“When you’re 48 years old and you look that good, it’s hard for a 22-year-old not want to get out there and look that good, too," Bryant insists.

Billy Currington is also on tour with McGraw, and he too accepts the challenge to do cross-fit, even though that’s a new exercise to the former personal trainer. All three played Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter, N.Y., on Saturday (June 13) with McGraw headlining Saturday night’s show. Bryant's soulful set proved why he's such a well-regarded newcomer. In addition to his original songs, he performed covers like Steve Miller Band's "The Joker" and the Doobie Brothers "Takin' It to the Street."

Kenny Chesney was announced as the first headliner for the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival, taking place June 10-12 at Hunter Mountain. Tickets will be on sale Monday morning (June 15).
