Here come the brides! Country star Chely Wright wed Lauren Blitzer over the weekend in Connecticut, and the lovely ladies have shared a photo from their big day. Both brides look gorgeous in full-length, strapless, crisp white gowns which show off their trim figures. The complimentary gowns were designed by Jose Dias, and they are unfussy showstoppers.

In the photo, the pair stand face-to-face, gazing at one another lovingly as they bask in the joy of their nuptials. About those dresses? They were modern and elegant at once, showing off their impeccable taste.

While Wright, 40, told PEOPLE that she and Blitzer would stick to tradition with their wedding, they did forsake one standard element of bridal tradition: the veils! The reason? "We like our hair too much."

While Blitzer fastened her hair in a loose updo -- which was a classic, simple style that matched the understated nature of the gown -- Wright's waves were big and grazed her bare shoulders, also an appropriate style for the cut and silhouette of her frock. They exchanged vows on August 20.

Congratulations to the lovely pair on their new marriage. They met in 2010, shortly after Wright bravely came out as a lesbian. They were engaged for four months and were married by a reverend and a rabbi on Saturday, since Wright is Christian and her new wife is Jewish.
