Chely Wright – Most Political Country Singers

Since revealing she is gay, Chely Wright has become a proud advocate of political issues favorable to LGBT causes. The background on her profile on Twitter uses the NOH8 logo (a protest photo project against California Proposition 8), and many of her tweets are not about music, but about the fight for same-sex relationship rights.

It's also evident that Wright is not a fan of Governor Mitt Romney, but it's not clear if she's endorsed President Obama or another candidate for the 2012 election. Her tweets during political debates are either entertaining or infuriating, depending on which side of the political fence one stands.
