One of Chris Lane’s bucket list dreams is coming true in 2017: performing on The Bachelor.

“It’s no secret one of my favorite shows is The Bachelor/Bachelorette … so this was definitely a bucket list opportunity that I could never pass up,” Lane says in a press release. “The crew, Nick and his date were a lot of fun to work with and the sold out crowd was amazing. Definitely a highlight of the year!”

Lane performs his current single, "For Her," on the Jan. 23 episode of the 21st season of The Bachelor on ABC. "For Her" was co-written by Matt Dragstrem, Kelly Archer and Sarah Buxton. It follows Lane's previous No. 1 hit, “Fix.”

In a gathering with media before a No. 1 party at the BMI offices in Nashville, Lane was grateful to the songwriters of "Fix" — Sarah Buxton, Jesse Frasure and Abe Stoklasa — for taking a chance on him and allowing him to record the song. It was also a day that Lane thought he would never celebrate.

“What a special day and honor to be here with the songwriters who wrote an amazing song and believed in me enough to cut the song,” Lane tells Taste of Country. “It was the day I honestly thought I’d never see. When I graduated college and started learning how to play the guitar, I couldn’t even fathom sitting here and doing something like this today. It’s a special day and one I can’t believe happened.”

Lane's 2017 is continuing to pick up steam, as he will join Florida Georgia Line on the road for the duo's Dig Your Roots Tour, beginning Jan. 27 in Tallahassee, Fla.
