Chris Shiflett may not yet be a household name to country music fans, but many have watched him play since 1999 as a member of the Foo Fighters. The guitarist and his band the Dead Peasants are the featured performers in a new podcast of 'At: Guitar Center With Nic Harcourt' and they've shared this video of their take on Del Reeves' 'Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues.'

Taste of Country has the exclusive video premiere, which is just a small part of the full podcast now available at the 'At: Guitar Center' website. In 2012, Chris Shiflett and the Dead Peasants released their self-titled album, an Americana and folk influenced collection of songs praised for its mellow vibe and colorful guitar work.

The band's version of 'Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues' is light, but tight. Shiflett's bandmates work with each other like members of a well-timed Broadway production, each man knowing his role, when to enter, and when to exit to let another player shine. The guitarist proves to be more than competent on vocals. The full episode of 'At: Guitar Center' featuring Shiflett will feature three songs and an extended interview.
