Chris Stapleton has a reputation for being a stand-up guy, but this goes above and beyond. Actor Chris Pratt has been doing interviews lately promoting his movie, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and he’s mentioned a couple of times not only what a huge country fan he is, but that he's a big fan of Stapleton in particular. Although the two have never met, Stapleton sent Pratt the most thoughtful gift over the weekend: a mixtape of his new album, From A Room: Volume 1.

The cassette is an homage to Pratt's Guardians character, who has a beloved mixtape made by his late mother, filled with pop songs she loved, and a Walkman he carries with him to listen to it. Stapleton went a step further and even sent Pratt a Walkman to listen to the album with.

“That is just one of the many wonderful blessings that have come my way,” Pratt says in the video he posted to Instagram. “I don’t even know what to say except, if you’re watching, Chris — Mr. Stapleton — thank you.”

Pratt loves country music, including the music of Eric Church, which he listened to when he was working on Jurassic Park. He also told a charmingly embarrassing story about when he met Tim McGraw and happened to be wearing McGraw’s signature cologne.

Stapleton’s much-anticipated new record From A Room: Volume 1 certainly delivered, topping charts all over the place when it debuted May 5. Its follow-up, From A Room: Volume 2, is slated to be out later this year.
