For the past few months, Chris Young has been traveling with Miranda Lambert as the opener for her On Fire Tour. Of course, Young was excited to kick off shows for the firecracker country songstress -- but he didn't really think about how many dogs would travel alongside her ahead of time. Fortunately, he admires the way Lambert treats her four-legged friends.

Of course, anyone who follows the latest on Lambert via Taste of Country knows that she has a deep, abiding love for her pets. She's frequently picking up stray cats and dogs, and she publicly mourned the loss of her childhood pet and one of her runaway pups. Naturally, she would have dogs accompanying her on the road at all times.

"They rotate in and out," Chris tells the Boot. "She has her two dogs, Delta and Cher, that are on the road all the time, but every couple of weeks, we'll have another dog out that will be hanging out. She has great animals, too, she's definitely an animal person."

Fans of Chris Young know that he's had his own string of success, with five No. 1 hits under his belt in the past few years. Most recently, 'Neon,' the title track from his current album, has started climbing the charts, but the singer isn't stressing about whether or not it will grab the top slot.

"If you think like that, it's just too much stress," he admits. "I'm glad we've got 'Neon' out as a single. I'm just fired up to have another song on the radio and have the title track of the album out there."

Touring with Lambert certainly won't hurt Young's chances of scoring another No. 1 hit. He's sure to gain more fans -- canine and human -- as he performs all over the country. Next, the On Fire Tour will stop in Omaha, Nebraska on May 10.
