Chris Young‘s performance of his No. 1 single, ‘Voices,’ brought the 2011 American Country Awards audience to their feet!

Young was backed by a full band as he performed the song right after it was awarded Single of the Year by Lauren Alaina, who was dressed in a pink and black cocktail dress and heels. Cameras scanning the crowd showed many waving their arms and jumping in time with the tune as Young played.

“Man thank you all,” said Young, who also won Breakthrough Artist of the Year. “This is all about you. The fan, the fans, the fans, the fans, you guys are why we’re up here.”

Other nominees for Song of the Year honor were Billy Currington, Tim McGraw, Thompson Square, and the Zac Brown Band with Alan Jackson.

Congrats to Chris Young!
