Chris Young had the chance to catch up with an old friend during a visit to Minot Air Force Base last week. The singer stopped by the base for a CD signing with some of our country's finest airmen as part of his work with Stars for Stripes and the Minot Exchange. While there, he was reunited with Wounded Warrior Scott Lilley, whom he first met in 2009 while working with Stars for Stripes.

Lilley is a former member of the Minot Air Force Base 5th Security Forces. The soldier was seriously wounded in Iraq in the spring of 2007. He traveled with Young on a tour to entertain the troops in 2009 that was captured for the GAC TV special 'Stars for Stripes: Wounded Warriors Return.' Lilley and his family visited with Young at Minot Air Force Base prior to his concert at the North Dakota State Fair.

"It was awesome to see Scott again and always great to be around the brave men and women who serve our country,” Young said in a statement released Tuesday.

The singer, whose last five consecutive singles have reached No. 1, serves on the board of Stars for Stripes, a non-profit organization that provides entertainment to deployed U.S. military forces in remote areas. He is currently performing with Miranda Lambert on her On Fire Tour, while his current single, the title track from his album 'Neon,' is climbing the charts.
