Real Name: Ernest Clayton Walker, Jr.

It's not difficult to see how this country great got his stage name. "Clay" comes from his middle name and was likely the product of needing a way to differentiate himself from Ernest Walker, Sr. Clay Walker grew up in the Eastern Texas town of Vidor with four siblings. He has a great full name for his mother to use when he got into trouble though, doesn't he?
