Clint Black had a big time in Dallas for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards. In fact, it was a whirlwind weekend, and the iconic singer wants to take Taste of Country readers behind the scenes of what he experienced in this fun, rare collection of pictures.

Black's red carpet appearance on Sunday (April 19) follows a short break during which the "Killin' Time" singer was working on other projects and new music. His weekend started on set with QVC on Friday (April 17), when he was part of a live segment called QVC Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the ACMs. Saturday night the singer performed a duet with Joe Nichols (and took a selfie!) for the 'ACM Superstars Duet' concert, singing "Nothing But the Taillights." Right after that, he was whisked away to Billy Bob's where he performed with Darius Rucker. This was all before the actual awards show on Sunday night (April 19)! Check out the photo gallery above to see exclusive backstage pictures of Black and friends!

Black has partnered with Chideo for a competition that will allow one lucky fan to record with him in his home studio. “I believe in giving back in any way that I can and this Chideo effort affords me the chance to do that in more than one way," the singer says. "Musically, it’s incredibly gratifying to play a role in the development of undiscovered talent and to give them every opportunity to do what we all love to do most – to share our music with others. In addition, this Chideo contest also supports our efforts to shine a spotlight on helping those with Rett syndrome."

The effort benefits Rettsyndrome.org.
