Country music singer-songwriter Coffey Anderson's wife, Criscilla, has started chemotherapy treatments after a mass was found in her colon in June.

"The unknown is always scary, it makes us nervous, and sometimes makes us freeze," Criscilla writes on her Instagram page. Anderson has been keeping his fans updated on his official social media page, as well.

"Courage is then you’re scared but you do it anyway. Have courage today. Have courage for me. I’ll have courage for you. We are strong enough," she adds alongside a vulnerable video from the hospital as she receives an IV.

In the clip, Criscilla can be heard telling her husband Coffey that she loves him. He has been by her side since the last week of May, when Criscilla was initially diagnosed with colitis after a visit to an emergency room in Kentucky. When the pain failed to subside, Criscilla went to the hospital again. A blockage was found and resulted in surgery to remove two feet of her colon.

The couple have been married nine years this past February and have three young children.

"He’s been my rock through all of this," Criscilla revealed in a post last month. "Day 3 in the hospital and he’s brought in my mom, flown in my best friend, called up our family village, keep family in the loop, weaned Everleigh from nursing, fought for answers with our amazing doctors and nurses, all while being so loving to me. He’s my real hero."

Fans will recall that Anderson received much viral attention back in 2016 when he put out a traffic etiquette video that stirred up some controversy after the death of Philando Castille, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop after reportedly following an officer's order to present his driver's license.

In addition to raising three kids, Criscilla is an actress (Accepted, Alvin and the Chipmunks) and choreographer and advertises herself as a leader of the "Fit Mom Movement." She has nearly 30,000 followers on her Instagram account.
