No. 18: Conway Twitty, ‘Hello Darlin” – Top 100 Country Songs

Country legend Conway Twitty has plenty of accolades standing by his name. Twitty is a member of both the Rockabilly and Country Music Halls of Fame, and he earned a slew of CMA Awards for his 55 No. 1 singles.

Of all of Twitty's hit songs, we chose 'Hello Darlin'' for the Top 100 Country Songs list because it is the legendary star's signature tune. 'Hello Darlin'' hit airwaves in 1970 and spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard country chart. Forty-two years later, country music fans still instantly recognize Twitty's deep, crisp voice singing the song's first line: 'Hello darlin', nice to see you.'
