Country Jam 2016 kicked off on Thursday (June 16) with sets from talented newcomers, a longtime duo and some of country music's main men. With 10 hours of music lined up for the day, there was a little something for everyone.

Stephanie Quayle was the first act to take the main stage at the 25th annual Country Jam, followed by Halfway to Hazard, who were back at the festival for the first time in eight years. As dinnertime rolled around, Chase Bryant thrilled the Country Jam crowd with his incredible guitar skills (and debuted his brand-new single) while Tyler Farr really got the party going as the sun began to set over Jam Ranch.

Lee Brice closed out Day 1 of Country Jam 2016 with an hour and a half of hits. He had the crowd raising their light-up mugs in a toast to the troops during "I Drive Your Truck" and brought out a couple of the other day's acts to help out during "Parking Lot Party." And his encore of "I Don't Dance" made for an especially romantic moment.
