Taste of Country: 800,000 Country Music Facebook Fans and Growing

Taste of Country's Facebook Page now has over 800,000 followers from all over the world. With this milestone, we want to once again state how much we appreciate your loyalty. To quote Scotty McCreery: We "love you this big."

Reader input continues to shape Taste of Country content, especially as our publication continues to grow. This month, readers will even decide the winners of the inaugural Taste of Country Awards. There are 10 categories to vote on, including staples like Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, but also fun categories that fit our website and audience well, like Best New Pet and Best Artist to Follow on Twitter. Taylor Swift leads the way with seven nominations, but Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and others are also up for numerous awards.

Reader input also drives the fairly new Taste of Country Showdown. This weekly song battle pits two new songs against each other, with the song receiving the most votes moving on to face a new competitor next week. Songs that win four weeks in a row are retired to the Showdown Hall of Fame; currently Scotty McCreery is the only member enshrined so far.
