If you visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 2012, you were one of 564,777 visitors, meaning it was a very popular place to be. In fact, it was the largest attendance total in the museum’s history, which spans 45 years. Two reasons for the phenomenal attendance rate? Taylor Swift and Patsy Cline.

According to the museum director Kyle Young, the two exhibits of the ubiquitous Swift and iconic Cline were a major attendance booster. Swift’s ‘Speak Now – Treasures From the World Tour’ showcase and Cline’s ‘Crazy for Loving You’ helped pull in 15 percent more visitors than in 2011, which was reported as another record-breaking year.

Fans from all over the globe traveled to Music City, USA to view the beautiful exhibits full of tour memorabilia, costumes, and treasured artifacts, including some of Swift’s famous sparkly dresses in all their glory.

The popular exhibitions (also including ‘The Bakersfield Sound: Buck Owens’ and ‘Merle Haggard and California Country’), live programs, events, and thriving tourism also contributed to a terrific 2012. Here’s to another record-breaking year at the Country Music Hall of Fame!
