The height of Johnny Cash's acting career was in the 1980s, when he starred in a number of made for television movies like 'The Pride of Jesse Hallam' and 'Murder in Cowenta County.' In the latter he acted alongside Andy Griffith, with the two men playing characters opposite of their perceived personalities. During his long career, Cash also appeared as himself or as a character in a number of individual episodes of television shows, like 'Columbo.'
