There must be something special in the air in Nashville in 2017. The year so far has seen an explosion of country stars getting engaged and married.

Sam Hunt stunned fans when he announced his engagement on Jan. 2, just one day after dropping a surprise new single. Hunt married Hannah Lee Fowler, who inspired many of the songs on his debut album, Montevallo, in a very private ceremony in Cedartown, Ga., on April 15.

One of the members of A Thousand Horses is also set to tie the knot, and Cassadee Pope announced that she got engaged to her longtime love, All Time Low drummer Rian Dawson.

Colton Swon planned a once-in-a-lifetime romantic surprise when he popped the question, setting up an elaborate scheme to take his girlfriend and entire family to the movies, where he had slipped a highlight reel of their romance into the trailers for everyone to watch before he got down on one knee.

Frankie Ballard's wedding seemed to come from out of nowhere. The singer and guitarist and his fiancee, Christina Murphy, got married on March 12 in Texas, and it came as a surprise to fans because the couple had never announced that they were engaged.
