Craig Morgan recently embarked on his eleventh overseas tour, where he entertained the men and women serving abroad. While he was there, the 'This Old Boy' hitmaker was able to orchestrate a super sweet moment for a deserving couple.

Morgan tells Taste of Country Nights that it began when he was playing at the Grand Ole Opry. Before the show, he received a Facebook post from SFC Phillips, who was serving in Afghanistan. Phillips said his pregnant wife Amanda would be in the audience. Morgan recalls the man saying, "My wife is coming to the show. If you could just say hi to her for me, her favorite song is 'Wake Up Loving You.'"

"We took it a step further and brought her up onstage. I told her I was going to be going to Afghanistan in a few days," Morgan recalls. So, he asked Amanda if there was anything she wanted Morgan to tell her husband, and she gave him a message.

"Lo and behold, we end up in Afghanistan, and her husband's there and I got to deliver the message," exclaims the country music adventurer. It's sweet that Morgan, who is a fellow Army veteran, was able to help connect a husband and wife who are separated by thousands of miles.

Morgan has been staying busy, and will be appearing at the Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain in New York, this June.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 50 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
