Craig Morgan's moving ballad cruised to an easy Showdown win over the weekend. "When I'm Gone" topped the followup single from Chris Janson, proving that even after 15 years as a country hitmaker, the Tennessean's fans are just as passionate as the fans of the new artists of the day.

Today and Tuesday, Morgan's end-of life song will face another artist making hits well into a second decade. Little Big Town have released "Pain Killer" — the title track off their most recent studio album — as the followup to "Girl Crush." It's a sweet love song that compares the buzz of a good love to that of a stiff drink.

Listen to clips of both Morgan and LBT’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Wednesday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Wednesday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
