Craig Morgan has his hands in many areas of his career these days as he readies his sixth studio album, which is expected for release in early 2012. While working in the studio on the new tunes, Morgan is also gearing up for the premiere of the second season of his 'Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors' hunting program on the Outdoor Channel. The new music will be the first collection of songs with his new record label, Black River Entertainment.

"I'm real excited," Morgan tells Taste of Country of his new musical home. "They share the same energy and enthusiasm about this music as I do. That's very refreshing. You don't see that much really, I'll be honest. Most people who are involved in the record side of it are kind of burnt out. These guys are so motivated and excited to be in the business. I love that!"

The album's lead single, 'This Ole Boy,' is a sure-fire hit, as it was penned by Nashville's hottest writing trio, the Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip). The singalong country love song ships to radio this week, which has Morgan anxiously awaiting the feedback from his loyal fans, who have stuck by him through thick and thin.

"I’ve worked it up with the band, and we've done it out on the road a few times," Morgan says of the new song. "Fortunately the camera crew [for 'All Access Outdoors'] was with us, so we'll be throwing that into the show to help debut the single."

As far as the rest of the album, Morgan has completed a little more than half of the project. The one thing he knows for sure is his fans won't have any curveballs thrown at them from left field.

"It's going to be more of the same [music] that people love," Morgan reveals. "I don't know if I nailed that on my last record, to be honest. The two biggest songs I had were songs I added to my record after it had already been released. When we went into the studio this time, we wanted to cut things that I loved singing and that we thought everyone would enjoy. So we looked at songs that were big hits for us, and we looked for songs that were similar to those hits. I feel like we found that and then some! Like the TV show, I think we've really elevated our material. It's probably some of the better music that I have ever recorded and may ever record."

'Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors' is set to premiere on Saturday, June 25 on the Outdoor Channel.
