Craig Morgan's video for his lovelorn ballad 'Wake Up Lovin' You' captures the yearning one can feel for another human being and the way that unsatisfied desire can change your whole mood and outlook.

The video boasts footage of Morgan singing and contemplating a romance while solo in a cheap fleabag motel somewhere. He's definitely not happy about his situation, and emotes rather intensely while singing. He's got a lot on his mind, and chilling on his own isn't helping matters. Needless to say, he empties a glass or two, pouring some alcohol down his gullet to help numb the pain.

The Morgan footage is juxtaposed with the visual narrative of a young and handsome couple, who appear to be headed for the exact same thing, furthering the message that love is tough and can suck, no matter who you are or where you are. They are in the midst of their romance, but all signs point to Breakupville.

Morgan and the young couple are living parallel lives and experiencing the same situation, which makes the message of the song that much more poignant for the listener. Everyone goes through this. It's not a unique experience, and therefore, the song and the clip can provide some comfort. What is unique, however, is how we process and deal with it.

In Morgan's case, he's pretty torn up. The 'Wake Up Lovin' You' video a great companion clip for anyone knee-deep in heartache.
