Cute Kids Singing Country Songs – Lee Greenwood, ‘God Bless the USA’

Subscribe to Taste of Country on

This group of first graders weren’t even an idea when the Twin Towers fell on September 11, 2001, but that doesn’t stop their performance from being a touching one 11 years later. The little boy leading the chorus is 6-year-old Hunter Hayden. His rendition of Lee Greenwood‘s ‘God Bless the USA’ is inspired.¬†

Hayden, a first grader in 2010 at Pepperell Primary in Lindale, Ga., is more than just a wallflower with a microphone in his hand. He shows true patriotism while singing a song that is four times as old as he is. Listen for a few mistakes that make this recording even more precious.
