Dan + Shay Invite Kelsea Ballerini on Tour by Covering ‘Dibs’ [Watch]

Country heartthrobs Dan + Shay called “dibs” on Kelsea Ballerini for their upcoming Just the Right Kind of Crazy tour this week when they posted a video on Facebook singing the chorus of her latest single.

The duo blended their trademark flawless harmonies perfectly in what looks like a hotel suite, singing Ballerini’s “Dibs,” the followup single to her No. 1 “Love Me Like You Mean It,” before officially popping the question.

“Hey Kelsea, we were wondering, if you’re not busy this fall, if you could maybe come on tour with us?” Shay Mooney asked bashfully.

“Come on! What do you say?” Dan Smeyers added.

Ballerini has accepted the offer, it seems, as eight of the band’s 15 tour dates are set to feature the up-and-coming artist. The tour begins Oct. 1 in Louisville, Ky., and runs through Oct. 24, ending in Birmingham, Ala.

While Ballerini has been climbing the charts with “Dibs,” Dan + Shay have been making a splash of their own with “Nothin’ like You,” which according to the artists, they chose to release as a single due to the overwhelmingly positive reaction fans have had to the song at live shows.

“”Nothin’ Like You” was always the best crowd response at our live shows, so we knew the song was reacting,” Smyers says of the Top 20 hit. “The positive message about loving someone for who they are is something we support and like to be vocal about.”
