Dan Seals worked hard to gain a foothold on country radio playlists, but once he was there he held on tight, churning out 11 No. 1 country songs between 1985 and 1991. 'Bop' is his second chart-topper and his biggest hit as a solo artist, and it earned him one of two CMA Awards in 1986.

Song No. 47 on the Top 100 Country Songs list came after his popular duet with Marie Osmond. 'Bop' was his only gold single, his only song with crossover success and his first to feature a music video. Seals died in 2009 after battling lymphoma.
