Darius Rucker’s ‘Together, Anything’s Possible’ Released for PGA Charity

Golf, a good song and an even better cause: Those are the three tenets at the heart of Darius Rucker’s single ‘Together, Anything’s Possible,’ which is aptly named. Rucker and Capitol Records Nashville have partnered with the PGA Tour to donate proceeds from the song to various PGA Tour-sponsored charities. Rucker is an avid golfer himself, so the PGA Tour is a perfect complement for his philanthropic interests.

Rucker specifically wrote the mid-tempo, upbeat song ‘Together, Anything’s Possible’ for the PGA Tour’s charity initiative of the same name. All proceeds from the song download will be donated to PGA Tour Charities, Inc. for one full year. 100% of these funds will be used to directly support charities such as the First Tee, a World Golf Foundation initiative dedicated to impacting the lives of young people through golf.

“It’s truly an honor to partner with the PGA Tour to bring music and golf together to raise funds for charity,” Rucker declares in a statement. “There’s no greater privilege to me than to have an opportunity to be the voice of this organization through my music.”

We told you Rucker is passionate about golf and life on the putting green; he has participated in many pro-am tournaments on the PGA Tour, so this charitable endeavor is right up his alley. He plans to augment the promotion and overall reach of the song by attending and performing at select PGA Tour tournaments throughout 2011. So you just might catch Rucker wearing plaid shorts, swinging a club and shouting “fore!” somewhere down the road.
