David Nail dropped a double bomb during a chat with Taste of Country Nights' Sam Alex on the red carpet of the 2015 CMA Awards — the singer and wife Catherine Werne are expecting twins!

Even better, they're getting one of each, a boy and a girl, in "about four weeks," Nail said Wednesday night (Nov. 4).

"I'm as ready as you can be," the singer dishes. "It'll be our first children, so having two right off the bat is gonna be an experiment, but hopefully the good lord blesses us with ability to care for them."

Nail's wife, Catherine, is a second grade teacher in Nashville, and the "Red Light" hitmaker admits it'd be nice to have the babies arrive potty trained.

"That's the unfortunate thing: You can't just start out with kids in second grade, you know, potty trained and everything."

If Nail's four-week prediction is accurate, the little Nails will arrive around the first of December. Things seem to be looking up for the country star, who has long battled depression.

“I’ve learned to not take life so serious and learned to enjoy it and had a lot of help in doing that,” he said early last year. And his wife is partially to thank.

“She’s just been there, and there have been so many moments where I wouldn’t have blamed her for leaving,” he furthered. “I think she always believed there was a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel.”
