Diamond Rio's chart-topping single from 2000 and 2001 is closely attached to two very emotional news events. 'One More Day' was used to remember Dale Earnhardt after his untimely death in 2001, and once again after the 9/11 attacks. Social influence is important in ranking the Top 100 Country Songs, and this hit scores high marks in that category.

Since then, it's been used at funerals and remembrances across America. 'One More Day' peaked at No. 1 twice in March of 2011 and was a small crossover hit, reaching No. 6 on the Hot AC chart.
