Dierks Bentley and wife Cassidy are now the proud parents of a baby boy! The singer welcomed son Knox Bentley on Wednesday night (Oct. 9). It's the third child for the couple of almost eight years.

"Well... our boy Knox is here! About to have the best tasting cold beer of my life! So proud of my wife. She rocked it. Crazy stuff," Bentley tweeted around midnight ET. He announced the pregnancy in April and revealed Cassidy was expecting a baby boy in June. Knox joins big sisters Evie, 5, and Jordan, 2.

"Mad respect for doctors, nurses and everyone at hospitals. Can't believe y'all do that day in and day out," the singer added following his announcement. "Hard work making miracles happen."

Bentley will have to wait to enjoy quality time with his first son. He has a show in Lincoln, Neb. on Wednesday (Oct. 10), followed by dates in Minnesota and Iowa this weekend. There was no word of a cancellation at press time. After that, he has a week off and only a scattering of dates through the end of the year.

The star, who's set to headline one of four nights at Tropical Nights: Boots in the Sand in February, is expected to release a new album later this year or in early 2014. His current single 'I Hold On' has cracked the Top 40.
