'Am I the Only One' singer Dierks Bentley was recommended for the upcoming season of 'Celebrity Apprentice' by last season's big winner, John Rich. Despite the fact that Bentley's wife Cassidy watches the 'Real Housewives' franchise on Bravo, which means that he catches a glimpse of the show here and there, he opted not to appear on the reality competition and will not pursue the chance to be fired by Donald Trump.

In a chat with KMPS, Bentley said he gave the opportunity some careful thought but decided against it for a simple reason: He's focused on his music. He said, "You know what, I was actually asked and I considered it for a long time and I was flattered to be asked, but at the end of the day … it's writing songs, making records, touring is everything to me. That’s everything to me. That's the dream, and the dream takes up a lot of time. With two kids and a wife, my plate's pretty full."

Bentley also told US99.5 about how he and Cassidy hooked up. Turns out, they had been on a collision course with each other since grade school in Arizona.

Bentley revealed that he and his missus knew one another as kids."She was the cutest girl and I had a long way to go, maturity wise, to try and land that," he said. "I had to do some growing up. We dated a little bit there and then in high school. After college, my life changed dramatically once things started working out after that."

Bentley thought that their moment had passed and that it wouldn't "happen," but he could not have been more wrong. One fateful night in February 2005 when he was opening for George Strait, the stars aligned. He said, "I never thought it would work out, but I saw her at a show in Las Vegas and I knew the second she walked on the bus, she was the one." Sometimes you just know.
