Dierks Bentley's naked ACM Awards nightmare doesn't seem to be a dream come true for any of the country stars seated in the front few rows, either. A hilarious new promo for the April 3 CBS broadcast finds Bentley trying to get through his monologue, unaware that he's naked.

It's a reoccurring nightmare, the singer jokes on Facebook. His man parts are blurred, so the video is totally safe for work. Footage from previous ACM Awards is used to create the illusion that stars like Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks and Darius Rucker are reacting to seeing him naked. Hilary Scott of Lady Antebellum thinks it's funny. Merle Haggard ... not so much.

While the video is just a gag meant to promote the 2016 ACM Awards, Bentley's naked (or more likely, near-naked) body is very real. The singer goes through his routine, making jokes, recognizing celebrities and teasing what's to come before he drops an envelope. Screams are heard as he picks it up.

Finally he wakes up, relieved.

This is the "Somewhere on a Beach" singer's first year hosting the ACM Awards. Luke Bryan will be his co-host, and the two have traded jabs and jokes over the course of several weeks as they prepare for the show. In addition to hosting, Bentley will perform. He's also up for two awards: Video of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.

The 2016 ACM Awards air at 8PM ET on CBS on April 3. Taste of Country will cover the show in full, as well as bring back highlights from the ACM Party for a Cause and ACMs red carpet.
