New Year's Day found Dierks Bentley leading his annual Percy Priest Lake jump, and today the 'Up on the Ridge' singer has shared some footage of the event. Twenty men, women and children took part this year, and they jumped in the water at 1:11PM to celebrate Jan. 1, 2011.

To add something different to this year's jump, Bentley drove his truck of 16 years, Big White, halfway into the water, and everyone there had to cannonball off of it and into the water. To get out of the water, the rule was the same as every year: They had to do a slow march so that they could really feel the effect of the frigid water and sharp air. In the video below, Bentley says, “The reason for the lake jump is to get rid of the year before and start fresh.”

Bentley reveals that there will be a new feature, 'Big White Webisodes,' coming soon to his official website to honor his truck of the same name -- and he says that this video of the Percy Priest Lake jump is a pilot for the upcoming series.

Bentley has been a busy man lately. His wife Cassidy had their second child, a girl named Jordan Catherine, on Christmas Day. She joins big sister Evalyn Day, who is now 2-years-old.

Bently's also been writing new songs, as he’s getting ready to go into the studio to work on his next album.
