Dierks Bentley performed the chilled-out tune 'Tip It on Back' at the 2012 CMA Awards, sounding every bit as confident relaxed as he does on the studio version of the track.

Bentley, a triple nominee for Single, Song, and Album of the Year for 'Home,' was dressed casually in a leather jacket and jeans as he sang the engaging chorus, "Tip it on back, make it feel good / Sip a little more than you know you should / Let the smoke roll off of your lips / Let it all go whatever it is / And tip it on back."

While the crew may have gone a little overboard with the fog machine — a haze of smoke obscured Bentley's band at times — the singer's voice was strong and the performance was solid all around. The follow-up to Bentley's three consecutive chart-topping singles 'Am I the Only One,' 'Home' and '5-1-5-0,' 'Tip It on Back' has reached No. 26 on the charts so far.
