Dierks Bentley issued a very important tweet to let his friends, fans and followers know that he and his wife Cassidy Black are expanding their family. They are expecting their third child.

The baby is due in the fall and the singer even used a little football metaphor to reveal the good news.

He tweets:

He also referenced fellow country star Tim McGraw, since he has three daughters with Faith Hill. Perhaps that's a hint that the Bentley family is having another little lady?

Dierks and Cassidy already have two daughters: Evelyn, 4, and Jordan, 2. If they have another girl, they'll rival the McGraw-Hill brood in terms of estrogen!

Congrats to the Bentley family on their upcoming bundle of joy.

Bentley chose an incredibly direct way to connect with fans and to share his good news by tweeting it, as opposed to issuing a standard press release to let the world know his family is about to grow. The 140-character social media messaging platform has served him well in the past. He was able to locate his lost and beloved dog this past January thanks to the real-time tweets he dropped on Twitter, which were spread by his friends and fans. The dog was eventually found via Facebook.
