Dierks Bentley Takes ToC Readers Behind the Scenes of New ‘I Hold On’ Video

Dierks Bentley‘s ‘I Hold On’ video debuts in full Wednesday (Oct. 30), but the country star wants Taste of Country readers to see behind the scenes of one of the sets used to film the clip. Bentley calls this his favorite video that he’s ever made. Find out why in this clip!

‘I Hold On’ was filmed in Nashville, with footage from a weekend of tour dates in Texas used for the live portions. The video tells the story of a musician working to make it in the music business without losing touch of the values he holds close. Director Wes Edwards is also credited with doing ‘Tip It on Back’ and ’5-1-5-0′ for Bentley.

“He just has a great ability for capturing a story, and this song is all about a story,” the 2014 Tropical Nights, Boots in the Sand headliner says in the clip above. In this behind-the-scenes footage, you see clips of that story, plus learn a few tricks about how music videos are filmed.

The song is the new single from the just-announced 2014 Taste of Country Festival headliner‘s ‘Riser’ album, which is expected to be released early in 2014. Fans have been watching him perform the song all summer, although it was only released as a single in August.
