After making headlines following a huge performance at the 2014 Glastonbury Festival, Dolly Parton is rumored to be prepared to take a (furry) piece of the event home with her. She may be adopting an abandoned festival dog!

Best yet, the stray pup was actually named after the singer.

"I just got the word that they found a little dog at the Glastonbury Festival and they named it Dolly," Parton says in a video. "I've had a sheep named after me, but not a doggy."

"I was so upset, I don't know how somebody could leave their little dog behind," she continues, "I'm hoping, just hoping, that maybe they just lost a dog and they'll get back together."

But what if they don't?

"We'll take good care of her if that should turn out to be what we have to do," Parton assures. As of now, the white dog is being looked after by Happy Landings Animal Shelter in Somerset, England. But the country starlet is staying true to her word and has released a statement about the lucky pooch.

"I had my manager Danny Nozell call the Happy Landings Animal Shelter to make sure the dog is being treated and cared for properly," Parton says (quote via NME). "At this time, nobody has claimed the dog and the dog is in great hands at the shelter. I will take the dog home to America if nobody claims her within a reasonable amount of time."
