Dolly Parton is still showing the world the reason she's a country music icon. The 68-year-old singer's new album 'Blue Smoke' is now the highest-charting album of her career.

The record, her 42nd studio album, reached the No. 2 position on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 6 on the Billboard 200, according to Radio.com.

Surprising to some fans, this is actually the highest Parton has ever been on the Billboard 200, with the closest being a collaboration with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt in 1987. She has, however, topped the Top Country Albums chart many times before. Rascal Flatts edged her this week, selling over 60K copies of the new 'Rewind' album.

“I am glad that people are enjoying the music from my new 'Blue Smoke' album,” Parton says in a press statement. “It feels great to be in the Top 10. It’s always an honor to know the fans spend their hard earned money on my music.”

The buxom blonde is currently hard at work on her 2014 Blue Smoke World Tour, which hits the U.S. and then goes worldwide. Congratulations to Parton on her new accomplishment!
