Don Williams has been forced to postpone his entire upcoming North American tour after undergoing unexpected hip replacement surgery.

Williams’ 2016 tour was slated to kick off Feb. 17 and visit 21 cities across America before winding up in Michigan on April 16. In a press release Tuesday (Feb. 2), his publicist announced the tour has been postponed, writing, “Ticket buyers are encouraged to contact local venues and authorized ticketing platforms regarding refunds.”

The 76-year-old entertainer is a multiple ACM and CMA award winner, and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He earned the nickname “the Gentle Giant” due to his height and soft-spoken presence, as well as his calming songs including “Lord I Hope This Day Is Good,” “Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “Back in My Younger Days,” “You’re My Best Friend” and “Some Broken Hearts Never Mend.”

Williams released his most recent album, Reflections, in 2014. The project includes songs from Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt and Jesse Winchester. He still tours actively. No projected makeup dates have yet been announced for his postponed 2016 shows. Take a look at all of the affected cities and dates below.
