No. 50: Doug Stone, ‘In a Different Light’ – Top 100 Country Love Songs

Country star Doug Stone's first No. 1 song also happens to be the kind of country tune that can make women swoon. The 1991 hit earned its slot on the Top 100 Country Love Songs list thanks to its creative storytelling from the perspective of a man who looks past his female co-worker's conservative appearance in order to see her 'In a Different Light.'

The song was the final release from Stone's album of the same name. It debuted at the No. 1 slot on country charts in the U.S. and Canada, making the classic love song a milestone in the star's career. Stone went on to score three more No. 1 hits during his career.
